Inverters and batteries
SAJ
SAJ publishes the strongest cycle life figure of anything we supply. The B2S battery is rated beyond six thousand cycles with a ten year warranty, which for a household cycling once a day is a long time before the number becomes the limit.
Six thousand cycles is a number worth understanding
Battery warranties are usually written two ways at once: a term in years, and a limit on how much energy passes through the battery over its life. Whichever you reach first ends the warranty.
Most households cycle a battery roughly once a day. Charge during the day, discharge through the evening, repeat. At that rate a battery rated for six thousand cycles has well over a decade of headroom, which means the ten year term expires long before the cycle limit does.
That is the outcome you want. It means the warranty is a real ten years rather than ten years or until you use it too much. If you are comparing quotes, ask every supplier for both numbers, because a headline term without the throughput figure is only half the promise.
SAJ uses Grade-A lithium iron phosphate cells and rates the B2S beyond six thousand cycles with a ten year warranty.
What we supply from SAJ
The H2 hybrid inverter and the B2S battery are designed as a pair, sharing the same physical design language and communicating natively rather than across a third party interface.
Single phase hybrid
H2 Series
5 and 10 kW
Smart working modes with real-time home energy monitoring. Pairs directly with the B2S battery.
Three phase hybrid
H2 Series
5, 10 and 15 kW
Three phase equivalent across the same range, for larger homes and light commercial sites.
High voltage battery
B2S Series
5 kWh modules
Quick-connect stacking, no external circuit breaker required. Grade-A LFP cells rated beyond 6,000 cycles.
Four things we tell people before quoting
It stacks without an external breaker
The B2S uses a quick-connect stacking design and does not require a separate external circuit breaker. That is one less component in the enclosure, one less connection point, and less switchboard work than several competing systems.
Fanless, using natural convection
Like the GoodWe ESA, the B2S cools without a fan. If noise is a consideration on your site, this and the ESA are the two systems worth looking at first.
Usable capacity is not the same as nominal
The modules are sold as 5 kWh but deliver around 4.8 kWh usable. That is normal and every brand does it, but it is worth checking which figure a competing quote is showing you. A quote listing nominal capacity will always look larger than one listing usable.
Module count differs by phase
The number of modules that can go on a stack is not the same across single and three phase configurations, which affects the maximum capacity available to your site. We confirm the limit for your specific configuration before quoting rather than after.

Questions we get asked
What does six thousand cycles actually mean for me?
Cycling once a day, it means the ten year warranty term runs out well before the cycle limit does. That is the right way round. Ask any other supplier for both figures, because the cycle number is where warranties quietly end early.
Is 5 kWh per module what I actually get?
You get around 4.8 kWh usable per module. Every brand holds back some capacity to protect the cells. It is worth checking whether a competing quote is showing nominal or usable, because that alone can make one system look bigger than another.
How many modules can I have?
It depends on whether your site is single or three phase, and the limits differ. We confirm the maximum for your configuration during the site assessment.
Is it quiet?
Yes. The battery cools by natural convection with no fan. Alongside the GoodWe ESA it is one of the two quietest systems we supply.
Can it go outside?
The enclosure is IP65 rated for indoor or outdoor installation. As with every system, we keep it out of direct western sun where the site allows.
Planning to cycle it hard?
If you are on a time of use tariff and expect to charge and discharge every day, SAJ is worth a look. Send us twelve months of consumption data and we will show you where it lands against the alternatives.
